Lauren E. Smith grew up in Greeneville, Tennessee and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a B.A. in History and Political Science in 2013. She received her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2016 where she was a member of Transactions: Tennessee Journal of Business Law. During her time in law school, Lauren was a member of the Homer A. Jones, Jr. Wills Clinic and provided estate planning services to clients who were otherwise unable to afford such services. Lauren was admitted to the bar in 2016 and began her legal career at a regional firm in Knoxville before joining Kizer & Gammeltoft, P.C. in March 2018. She is a member of the Knoxville Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association and the East Tennessee Lawyer’s Association for Women. In her free time, she enjoys attending Tennessee football and basketball games, serving at her church and spending time with her family and her dog, Max.
